“Organics: State Regulations and Municipal Opportunities”

The 13th annual California Bioresources Alliance Symposium will look at how local communities in Southern, Central, and Northern California are implementing organic waste reduction goals and projects required by state regulations. We will have a mix of presentations by local community representatives, flash presentations on new bioresources projects and technologies, and open discussion on implementing projects and achieving California’s waste diversion, healthy soils, and renewable fuels goals.
We will also have sessions on fire risk reduction and remediation, current research on organics, financing resource recovery projects, and integration of multiple bioresources technologies.
Participants in the symposium include state and local regulators and planners, industry representatives, and researchers. We focus on bioresources including manures, foodwaste, biosolids, greenwaste, agricultural wastes, and woody wastes in California. The symposium is organized by US EPA, CARB, CDFA, SWRCB, Association of Compost Produces, California Association of Sanitation Agencies, Cal State Fresno, UC Davis, and NRCS.
