    October, 2 hrs during 1st thru 4th, 2018

The Association of Compost Producers is recruiting new members, October 1st-4th in a membership drive that will be right from your desk.

Why aren’t more companies a member of the ACP? Maybe they were never asked! The best way to grow the organization is with your help! The theme for this year’s drive is  “Healthy Soil Builders"

What’s in it for you? PRIZES! Earn a prize for every member that you recruit and the top recruiter will receive a grand prize! Simple right?

What’s in it for the new member? We are offering "New Member" incentives to any new member that signs up between Oct. 1st and October 4th The incentives are from our partners!

How it works: It's easy, you email those you know who could benefit from membership in ACP.  The you make calls from your phone between between Oct 1 and 4 offering to fill out the membership form wioth them and answer any questions. We will supply you with a fun informative script, sample emails, prospective member contacts, and all of the great reasons to join the ACP!

What Next?  All you need to do it pick a team leader and get ready to make some calls.

We have set up six teams:

    Jeff Ziegenbein

    Kathy Kellogg-Johnson

    Bob Engel

    Craig Kolodge

    Dan Noble

Why not volunteer for a couple of hours, make some phone calls from prepared lists to folks you may already know or make some new contacts. Just reach out to team captains above and let them know you have two hours available.  This is a great time to encourage suppliers to join and for associates to get hands on involvement. To help with this effort to bring in new members contact Jonelle Tannahill, Industry Relations for ACP and you will receive a Membership Drive tool kit for success. jonelle3@gmail.com

Association of Compost Producers have a mission to "increase the quality, value and amount of compost being used in California."   One of the best ways to make this happen is by helping your customers and community partners understand and be continually reminded of the benefits of using compost to build healthy soil, via our annual "International Compost Awareness Week" (ICAW) celebration, this year it's May 6-12, 2019.

The date is almost here!  sign up and we will send you the actions you can take right now to promote International Compost Awareness Week:

International Compost Awareness Week (ICAW) is the largest and most comprehensive education initiative of the compost industry. It is celebrated nationwide and in other countries each year during the first full week of May. Started in Canada in 1995, ICAW has continued to grow as more people, businesses, municipalities, schools and organizations are recognizing the importance of composting and the long-term benefits from organics recycling.

The goal of the program is to raise the awareness of the public regarding the benefits of using compost to improve or maintain high quality soil, to grow healthy plants, reduce the use of fertilizer and pesticides, improve water quality and protect the environment. The program includes a poster contest, programs at schools and activities and events promoted through governments, public municipalities and local businesses nationwide.
